Altech Torus Basis

Modern Torus

The Altech Torus is the most straightforward soapstone stove in the Altech range. A wood-burning stove with universal appeal thanks to its simple one-button operation. With its clean lines and rounded front, the Torus is a real eye-catcher in a modern interior. Available in several versions and colours, there’s a Torus to suit every home.

Soapstone 4

Altech stoves are made largely from soapstone, a material whose unique properties make it exceptionally suitable for wood burning. Soapstone naturally stores heat more than twice as efficiently and conducts it over 10 times better than firebrick. The stored heat is then released gradually. This infrared heat is wonderfully gentle and feels like a warm blanket. The soapstone continues to radiate heat for up to 12 hours after the fire in the stove has gone out. What’s more, thanks to this radiant heat, the Altech stove also warms walls, ceilings and floors. This contrasts with sheet-steel stoves, which give off intense heat for a short time and cool down quickly.
