Grand Canyon fireplace surround Arizona

In the state of Arizona, you’ll find the Grand Canyon: towering heights, spectacular rock formations and cliffs. Our Arizona fireplace surround is also tall, designed especially for high fireplaces such as the Faber Straight and the Element4 Sky. Of course, a slim freestanding stove also looks great beneath it. We gave the surround an extra-eroded Grand Canyon look using sandblasting. Just like the Grand Canyon in Arizona, this surround looks its best at dusk, with a lovely fire lighting it up and warming your home.

Where are our fireplace surrounds made?

Our fireplace surrounds are made to measure. Each one is unique, both to us and to you. Every surround is drawn up individually. We’ll send you the drawing for final approval, then place the order for you in Spain, where our craftspeople make the surrounds. Despite being made to order, a unique surround takes an average of just four weeks to arrive!

Unique natural stone

A natural stone fireplace surround is unique. You bring a piece of life, a piece of the earth, into your home. No two natural stone surrounds are the same, because every piece of rock is different. Our showroom features a wide variety of surrounds made from different types of natural stone. We supply surrounds and hearths in no fewer than 32 different types of natural stone, from very hard marble-like varieties to French limestone.

Different finishes for a natural stone fireplace surround

Depending on the type of stone you choose for your modern or traditional fireplace surround, different finishes are available. You can choose a honed surround with a smooth, matte finish, or a polished surround with a glossy finish. For a truly distinctive effect, you can have your new surround sandblasted. This removes the softer areas of the stone.

Belgian bluestone

We offer natural stone in several grades. Belgian bluestone is in the highest grade, making it one of the more expensive and exclusive varieties. It is widely used, and this particular type of stone is available with various finishes, including polished, light or dark honed, lightly or coarsely sanded, and sandblasted.

Protecting a fireplace surround

Natural stone is always porous. Naturally, polished marble is less vulnerable than limestone. We recommend treating your surround with an impregnating sealant. If you wish, we can supply a clear sealant with your surround. Once your new surround is in place, if you’d like it to have a richer or darker color, we can also supply a sealant, optionally with a color enhancer.

Extras

You can also purchase a hearth slab and tiled wall in the same type of stone as the surround. Prices vary across the different types of stone.
