Monaco Fireplace Surround

The Royal Palace in Monte Carlo. The Monaco is a tall fireplace surround inspired by Monaco’s iconic landmarks. This Monaco fireplace surround towers above the other pieces of furniture, just as the Prince’s Palace of Monaco rises above the other buildings.

This palace is also known as one of the world’s dream destinations. You can now make this dream destination the focal point of your living room, paired with a beautiful wood-burning stove. Of course, if convenience is your priority, you could just as easily place an attractive gas stove beneath it.

Spanish fireplace surrounds

Our fireplace surrounds are made to measure. Every surround is unique, both to us and to you. Each one is drawn up individually. We’ll send you the drawing for your final approval, then order it for you from Spain, where our craftspeople make the surrounds. Even so, the lead time for a one-of-a-kind surround is just four weeks on average!

Unique natural stone

A natural-stone fireplace surround is unique. You bring a piece of life, a piece of the earth, into your home. No two natural-stone surrounds are alike, because every piece of rock is different. Our showroom features a range of surrounds made from as many different types of natural stone as possible. We supply surrounds and hearth slabs in no fewer than 32 different types of natural stone, from extremely hard, marble-like varieties to French limestone.

Different finishes for a natural-stone fireplace surround

Depending on the type of stone you choose for a modern or classic fireplace surround, various finishes are available. You can opt for a honed surround, with a smooth, matte finish, or choose a glossy, polished surround. For a truly distinctive effect, you can have your new surround sandblasted. This removes the softer areas of the stone. 

Belgian bluestone

We offer natural stone in several grades. Belgian bluestone is in the highest grade, making it one of the more expensive and exclusive varieties. It is widely used, and this particular type of stone is available with various finishes, including polishing, light and dark honing, light or coarse sanding, and sandblasting.

Protecting a fireplace surround

Natural stone is always porous. Of course, polished marble is less vulnerable than limestone. We recommend treating the surround with an impregnating sealer. If you wish, we can supply a colourless sealer with your surround. If your new surround is in place and you’d like to deepen or darken its colour, we can also supply a sealer, optionally with a colour enhancer.

Extras

You can also purchase a hearth slab and tiled wall in the same type of stone as the surround. The different stone types are available at a range of price points.
