Dimplex Opti-myst Cassette 1000 retail electric fireplace

New Opti-Myst cassettes

The proven Opti-Myst principle is not new, and neither are the free-standing cassettes. What is new, however, is this Dimplex (formerly Faber) Opti-Myst Cassette 1000R electric fireplace. Beautiful, practical, connectable, and also easy to install.

Installation

With the Dimplex Cassette 400 and 600 from the Opti-Myst cassette insert series, there were already a myriad of possibilities to create. We have already seen the most beautiful creations made from them, often in MDF. This new series, Cassette 1000R (and the 500R), makes it even easier to vary. For example, when placing the Cassette 400 and 600 side by side, you have to take into account that there is an interrupted section without a log set. With this Cassette 1000R, and therefore also the 500R, they are connectable, creating a continuous flame effect.

Novelties in Dimplex fireplaces

First of all, this 1000R cassette has LED lighting instead of the halogen lighting in the other units. In addition, it is possible (at an additional cost) to connect a water supply to this Opti-Myst cassette. As a result, there is no longer a need to walk around with water tanks, and it no longer needs to be refilled manually. This is, of course, ideal for restaurants and other public areas. The best thing about this 1000R cassette (and the 500R cassette) is that, as already mentioned, they are connectable. This means that you can also connect this 1000R cassette with a 500R cassette, creating a fire that is one and a half meters wide.
