Price

As you can see, the price depends on the type of natural stone used. The different prices for, for example, sandstone and marble-like stone are listed in the specifications. The Domingo fireplace surround is a piece of furniture that will adorn your room for many years and may never leave your home, because it simply belongs there.

Tip

When choosing a type of stone, bring along a piece of fabric from your cushions or curtains. It is also always useful to bring a floor tile or flooring sample so you can match the stone to your floor.

Spanish fireplace surrounds

Our fireplace surrounds are custom-made. Every surround is unique to both you and us. Each one is drawn up individually. We will send you the drawing for final approval and then order it for you from Spain, where our craftspeople make the surrounds. Despite their unique and stylish design, the Domingo fireplace surrounds have an average lead time of just four weeks!

Unique natural stone

A natural stone fireplace surround is unique. You bring a piece of life, a piece of the earth into your home. No two natural stone fireplace surrounds are the same, because every piece of rock is different. Our showroom features a range of surrounds in the widest possible variety of natural stones. We supply surrounds and hearths in no fewer than 32 different types of natural stone, from very hard marble-like stones to French limestone.

Different finishes for a natural stone fireplace surround

Depending on the type of stone you choose for a modern or classic fireplace surround, various finishes are available. You can opt for a honed surround, with a smooth, matt finish, or choose a glossy, polished surround. For a truly special effect, you can have your new surround sandblasted. This removes the softer areas of the stone. 

Belgian bluestone

We offer natural stone in several grades. Belgian bluestone is in the highest grade, making it one of the more expensive and exclusive types. It is widely used, and this particular stone is available with various finishes, including polished, lightly or darkly honed, lightly or coarsely sanded, and sandblasted. 

Protecting a fireplace surround

Natural stone is always porous. Naturally, polished marble is less vulnerable than limestone. We recommend treating the surround with an impregnating agent. We can supply a colourless impregnating agent with your surround if required. If you have your new surround installed and would like it to have a richer or darker colour, we can also supply an impregnating agent, optionally with a colour enhancer.

Extras

You can purchase a hearth and tiled wall in the same type of stone as the fireplace surround. The different types of stone are available in a range of price brackets.
