Dimplex Opti-myst Cassette 500 Projects electric fireplace

Dimplex Opti-myst Cassette 500 Projects Electric Fireplace

The tried-and-tested Opti-Myst principle is nothing new, and neither are the freestanding cassettes. What is new is this Dimplex Opti-Myst Cassette 500 Projects. Small, convenient, attractive, linkable and even easier to install. The great advantage of the Projects version is that the fireplace is connected to the water supply, so you never have to refill it!

Installation

The Dimplex Cassette 400 and 600 in the Opti-Myst range already offered countless creative possibilities. We’ve seen some truly stunning designs, often made from MDF. This new Cassette 500R series (and the 1000R) makes it even easier to create different configurations. And whereas with, for example, the Cassette M and L, you need to allow for the drawer (for refilling the water and replacing the lamps if necessary), this isn’t required with the Dimplex Cassette 400, 600, 1000R or this 500R. With these cassettes, simply remove the top to refill them.

Innovations in Dimplex fireplaces

First, this Cassette 500R has LED lighting instead of the halogen lighting used in the other models. It is also possible to connect a water supply to this Opti-Myst cassette (at an additional cost). This means there’s no need to carry buckets of water or refill the cassette. Ideal for restaurants, for example. The best thing about the Cassette 500R (and the Cassette 1000R) is that they can be linked together. This means you can connect as many as you like to create the widest possible flame effect. Because the cassettes are connected rather than placed separately side by side, the flame effect flows continuously.
