The Spartherm Swing Insert 81x54 (formerly the Linear XL 900) front is a wood-burning insert that, thanks to its compact dimensions, can be installed in most existing fireplaces. 

Fireplace insert

This Spartherm Swing is a fireplace insert. Inserts are usually used in existing fireplaces where you cannot or do not want to undertake demolition or renovation work. For example, if you currently have an open fireplace, an insert can be installed in it relatively easily. Since the flue is connected from inside the stove, little demolition work is required. Of course, the insert can also be installed in a new setting. Inserts are generally also much cheaper than built-in fireplaces. This is partly because the insert has a hinged door rather than a lift-up door.

High efficiency

Spartherm’s Swing range has a high efficiency rating (energy class A+). So, if you install a Spartherm insert in an existing open fireplace, you can increase efficiency from at most 10% to over 75%! This means more heat from the wood, so you burn it more efficiently. In addition, an insert is much easier to use than an open fireplace and creates far less mess. You can also go to sleep while the fire is still burning or step out to run an errand. You can’t do that with an open fireplace.

Different frames

This Spartherm Swing Insert 81x54 comes standard with a 60 mm four-sided frame. It is also available with an 80 mm or 100 mm frame.
